George Porter

George has spent a lifetime around the game of golf gaining a wealth of experience in all areas of the profession and is extremely passionate about the game he loves, “I’m fortunate because I’m in the business of dealing with people.” After becoming a Member of the PGA in 1999 George developed his teaching skills by spending time with some of the most influential instructors in the world gaining a comprehensive understanding in teaching people golf through effective communication, making the game more enjoyable for all who play – after all golf is what the ball does. George also helps to “coach the coaches” with continuing certification programmes and has featured as a key note speaker at numerous coaching seminars. His enthusiasm for seeing all golfers reach their potential delivers a lesson experience like no other for all who play the game, ensuring you head to the course with a clear and simple menu that allows you to play your own game.

The natural progression for George was in succeeding his father Steve as the Club’s Head Professional in 2012 establishing Porter’s Golf Ltd. As a 'Foremost' buying group member, George is able to stock the professional shop with a wide range of products and is confident he can cater for all your golfing needs by offering an impressive range of the very latest products from leading brands in the golf industry. George makes it a priority that all members and visitors to the Club receive a first class level of service from the moment your North Hants experience begins.

Richard Lewington

Richard started his Professional career here at North Hants before moving over to Germany as The Head Professional at Hamelner Golf Club.  After 15 very successful years of helping to develop the game of golf in Germany Richard decided to move back to the UK as Head Professional at Sherfield Oaks Golf Club, Hampshire where he spent a further 17 years.

In August 2018 Richard returned back home to North Hants. " it's great to be back at North Hants, I have known George for a number of years and its exciting to work alongside someone that shares the same passion for both coaching and the love of the game.

I have been very fortunate to have helped develop both Junior golf for boys and girls in Hampshire and I look forward to bringing that experience here. I love to work with golfers of all ages and varying abilities and to see people enjoy golf and at the same time improving feels me with great deal of satisfaction.

My coaching methods are very simple and effective, not only will you improve you will also have FUN !
